A backsight is the observation to a known point, the shot a surveyor takes first, so everything after it can be trusted. That is the standard this software holds itself to: every number checked against something known, every result carrying the method that produced it.

Backsight is built in Canada for Canadian work: NAD83 Original and NAD83(CSRS) treated as the different things they are, UTM, 3TM and MTM on their proper zones, heights that only convert through a geoid model you installed and verified. Where the mathematics cannot be exact, the product says so plainly, and where it can, it is.

It is one integrated product, not a bundle: the drawing, the points, the surfaces, the flight, the cloud and the locate report all live in the same workspace, on the same grid, with the same audit trail. One subscription covers all of it, because the job does not come in modules.
