A locate is a professional record. Backsight issues the traditional two-sheet package, primary sheet and auxiliary sketch, as checksummed, versioned PDFs with an audit trail behind every one.
The sketch, on a real map
Draw located features in APWA colours over OSM, Google Maps or a background image; every geometry keeps its vertices in the database, not just a picture.
The two-sheet package
Primary locate sheet with the boxed grid, checkbox rows, warnings and located-area bands; auxiliary sheet with legend, north arrow, colour notices and the big sketch, every printed field editable before issue.
Photos and signatures
Site photos attach immutably and print on the report; the locator signs on issue and the signature block carries it.
Issue, version, supersede
Issued reports are immutable and checksummed. A revision supersedes the last, and the old link says so, every version stays on the record.
A portal your client can use
Each report gets a share link with the PDF, an acknowledgement form, and download logging, revocable at any time.

Organization-wide job numbering with per-report override; your logo, colours, limitations and disclaimers on every sheet.
