Subscription, processing credits and invoices
What $99 a seat covers, the yearly option, how processing credits work, and where to find your invoices.

What the subscription covers
The subscription is $99 CAD per seat per month, or $990 per seat per year, which is two months free. Every seat covers the whole product: every mode, every tool, unlimited projects. There are no feature tiers; roles control permissions, never price. A seat is a person who can sign in, so adding or removing a teammate adjusts the next invoice automatically.
The subscription also includes drone processing:
- 500 photos of reconstruction a month, turning flights into point clouds, orthophotos and surfaces, counted across the organization and starting again on the first of each month.
- After the included photos are used, additional processing is $0.04 CAD per photo, charged from processing credits for the photos past the allowance only. A single reconstruction job can hold up to 3,500 photos.
Note
Everything else, drawing, surfaces, volumes, plotting, locates, point clouds you already have, has no per-use charge at all. Credits exist because renting a machine to process photographs costs real money by the hour.
How processing credits work
- Before a reconstruction starts, Backsight prices it from the number of photos and shows you the figure.
- You are charged when the job actually starts, not when you queue it.
- If the job fails or you cancel it, the credit is refunded automatically. Only delivered work stays charged.
- Top up any time from Billing if a flight is bigger than your balance.
Tip
The price is the photo count times the rate, nothing is estimated, and a job larger than 3,500 photos is refused with the reason rather than priced. You will never get a surprise bill.
Invoices, cards and cancelling
Billing → Manage billing opens the payment portal, where you can change the card, download every invoice, and cancel. Cancelling stops the next payment; you keep access until the period you have paid for ends.
Common questions
Is there a free trial?
No. The subscription starts when you sign up, and every month of it includes 500 photos of drone reconstruction.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
It stays where it is. Sign in again and resubscribe and everything is as you left it. Export what you need before you go if you would rather hold it yourself, DXF, LandXML, CSV and PDF are all available.
Do unused credits expire?
No. They sit on your balance until a job uses them.
Can I pay annually?
Yes. The billing page offers the same all-access plan at $990 per seat per year, two months free against paying monthly. A yearly plan runs to the end of the year you paid for, and the seat count still adjusts as people join or leave.
